It was back in 2009 that I took these pictures and they have sat around my Lightroom library for ages. It is time to share.
Isle of Skye, take a left up the hill on the B8083 on the way to Elgol (PA1, PC0)
I used to live on the Isle of Skye and my memories of the little beach and huge views at Elgol have stayed with me and always will. I took the image above on the way. If you take a left and walk up the hill (It does not matter what one, they are all amazing) on the B8083 heading towards Elgol and look out to the coast this will be your view. Watch out for ticks though, always carry a tick remover. I got one, my girlfriend was clean. I obviously have the most attractive legs!
Moving swiftly on! This is the view if you turn around!
Cullins mountain range, Isle of Skye (PA0 PC0)
Elgol beach the Cullins and a highland cow! (PA1, PC0)
At the end of the B8083, this is what you could find. The beautiful little beach at Elgol. Bouts leave regularly during the summer months for tourist trip where you can see seals, spectacular views and possibly otters. We were happy where we were though!
Broadford Bay and Beinn na Caillich, the most southern peak of the Red Cuillins
This was our view as we stepped out of our little cottage, only a highland road width away from the beach. Having lived on the island we have a few family friends so the perks are great!
We went to visit an old play ground of mine, I used to mess around with friends and the rest of the family at Lower Breakish, taken en-route.
Isle of Skye en route to Lower Breakish
We left Skye and headed via car ferry over to the Outer Hebrides from Uig to Tarbert. We used the Island hoping or Hopscotch tickets, routes and tickets are found here Caledonian MacBrayne and CalMac website.
I will leave you know with a selection of pictures from the Outer Hebrides. Three of the beaches named in the top 10 beaches in the world can be found on these islands according to The Times list, (I can’t find the link 😦 ). Anyway the next one was No. 1. I guess the judge was there on a good sunny day!
No. 1 beach in the World. SCOTLAND 🙂

One of the many flower meadows that can be found around the Outer Hebrides, Scotland (PA1, PC0)
And finally, somewhere in the breathtaking baron landscape of these amazing islands. Little pockets of fresh water are dotted around with the cleanest water ever. Here is one of them.
